Protect Yourself with Profix

Most of the time, a fire door is just like any other door, but as a passive form of fire protection, the role it plays can literally make the difference between life and death.

As a supplier we take this responsibility extremely seriously. Fire and Rescue Services in Great Britain have reported a drop in fires in the last 10 years but still attended 212,500 fires in 2013 – 2014. The Fire Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 partners with suppliers who have third party accreditations to provide independent assurance to architects, specifiers, enforcing authorities and building owners that all doors involved in their schemes meet the technical and regulatory requirements. So compliance is key.

That’s why we are pleased to offer the FD30 composite fire door - Flame Door - which has been designed and precision engineered to the exacting standards laid down the Building Regulations and has been independently tested in accordance with BS476, Part 22 for a 30-minute fire rating.

The Flame Door features a thermoplastic faced fire resisting composite door leaf of nominal 44mm thickness supplied pre-hung in a standard 70mm PVC-U outer-frame that incorporates a patented fire sealing system. A multi-point locking system is fitted as standard and each door set is made to measure to meet your exact specification requirements, including a choice of woodgrain effect, white, blue, red and green colours and are supplied with hardware and glazing factory fitted.  All of this is available in 15 working days.

Whilst the Flame Door features heavily in many social housing environments, it is also widely specified in many private and public sector buildings such as education, healthcare, care homes and hotels. If a fire breaks out, building inhabitants can rely on the precision engineering, technical prowess and independent testing of the Profix Flame Door FD30 to do what it is supposed to do.
